Student Metro Card Protests
City Council Speaker Quinn and other officials have organized a press conference for 7:30 AM on Tuesday, January 5 at the plaza in front of MLK Jr. HS Complex (Amsterdam Avenue and 66th Street) to protest the possibility of the MTA charging students for their MetroCards.
Manhattan Borough President has issued a petition urging the MTA to retract the proposal to cancel student metro cards. See this link
