There are many ways to support The Neighborhood School. Every contribution — no matter the size — makes a real difference for our students.
Direct Donations
The simplest way to give is through our online donation page. All donations are tax-deductible. Our suggested annual family contribution is $165 per family (about $15/month), but any amount helps.
Donate via Zeffy — 100% of your donation goes to TNS (no processing fees)
Monthly Giving
Setting up a recurring monthly donation is the most impactful way to support the PTA. Even $5 or $10 a month adds up over the school year and helps us plan our budget with confidence.
Employer Matching Gifts
Many employers will match your charitable donations, effectively doubling or tripling your impact. Companies with matching programs include Google (2:1 match), Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, and many others. Check with your HR department to see if your employer participates.
Donor Advised Funds (DAFs)
If you have a Donor Advised Fund, you can direct grants to The Neighborhood School PTA. We are registered on Fidelity Charitable, Vanguard Charitable, Schwab Charitable, and the American Online Giving Foundation.
Fundraising Events
Throughout the year, the PTA hosts fundraising events that are fun for the whole family. Bake sales, movie nights, the Spring Fling party, and our annual auction all support PTA programs. Participating is a great way to contribute while building community.
In-Kind Donations
We also welcome in-kind donations: supplies for classroom projects, items for fundraising events and auctions, food pantry contributions, and professional services. Contact us at ptapresident@tnsny.org to discuss.
Where Your Money Goes
$15/month — Supports teaching assistant salaries, arts programs, and field trips
$50 — Funds art supplies for a classroom project
$165/year — One family's share of TA salaries, Studio in a School, and enrichment
$1,000 — Funds a field trip for 60 students
The PTA operates with full transparency. Budget reports are shared at monthly meetings and available upon request.
